However, Mexico are coming on the back of a confident run. They were beaten by Croatia in an unofficial friendly earlier in June. But since then, they pulled out 4 wins and 2 draws from six matches. Moreover, their only previous defeat in an official football games was against Chile in the Copa America semifinals.
