England vs Brazil International Friendly Match Preview 14th November 2017
England vs Brazil
International Friendly Match
Date: Tuesday, 14th November 2017
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Wembley Stadium (London).
Brazil would like to finish their November friendlies with another win, but this won’t be easy as the young England side is coming on the back of some confidence following a positive display in the goal-less stalemate against Germany.
With majority of the key players missing through injury, Gareth Southgate started with five debutants. Goal-keeper Jordan Pickford is unarguably the best of the bunch who kept the Three Lions in the game with some brilliant saves to deny a dominant German side. Ruben Loftus-Cheek also proved his worth, so do Tammy Abraham who came close to scoring with his first touch.
On the other hand, Brazil continued their impressive form with a 3-1 win at Lille over Japan. Neymar opened the score with a penalty and missed one later before Marcelo and Gabriel Jesus strike within the first 45 minutes. However, the second half was a totally different affair with Japan scoring a goal and keeping Brazil under control to avoid further damage. There are some positives for Tite as the likes of Danilo, William and Fernandinho, who fell behind the pecking order in recent times made useful contributions.

England vs Brazil: Head-to-head

First meeting between England and Brazil since they played out a 2-2 draw in a friendly at the Maracana in 2013.
England won 2-1 when the teams met at Wembley in the same year with goals from Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard. This remains to be their lone win against Brazil in 9 meetings in all competitions, drew 4 and lost 4 in the process.
Five of the last 6 meetings between the two sides had seen both teams scoring.
Brazil haven’t won a head-to-head match in English soil, the two games before the lose in 2013 saw 1-1 draws.

England vs Brazil: Predictions

The young English side displayed excellent fighting spirit against a star studded Germany last week and they will be coming with confidence to take on another similar side on Tuesday.
Brazil had a good first half against Japan, but wore-off in the second period. A similar display will cost them the match at Wembley as the Three Lions are not afraid to take on the attack when required.
